Sports Massage

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to play sport to book in?
Not at all. Sports massage isn’t just for people who train. A lot of my clients come in because they’re tight from work, the gym, running, poor posture, or just everyday life.

What can it help with?
Sports massage can help with general aches, tight muscles, neck and shoulder tension, back pain, reduced movement, and recovery after training. It’s all tailored to what your body needs on the day.

Is it painful?
It can be a bit uncomfortable in the tighter areas, but it should never be unbearable. I’ll always work to a pressure that feels productive without making you dread the whole session.

How often should I come?
That really depends on what you need. Some people like weekly or fortnightly appointments if they’re training hard or carrying a lot of tension, while others book monthly just to stay on top of things.

Do you do mobile appointments?
Yes — I’m mobile Tuesday to Saturday, so I can come out to your home and treat you there.

Can I come to a clinic instead?
Yes — I’m based at Physique Pro Great Park on Mondays if you’d rather come into a clinic setting.

What should I do after treatment?
Best thing to do is keep hydrated, keep moving, and try not to do anything too intense straight after unless we’ve spoken about it. It’s normal to feel a bit sore the next day, especially if we’ve worked through some really tight areas.

What should I wear?
Just wear something loose fitting. Depending on what we’re working on, I may need access to the area, but I’ll always make sure you’re comfortable throughout.

Can I book online?
Yes, you can book straight through the website as normal.

Do you offer subscriptions?
Yes — if you like staying consistent with treatment, the subscription options are a great way to keep on top of your body each month and save a bit at the same time.
