About me

My name is David Sears, and I established D.S Sports Massage in June 2016 after completing my VTCT Level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage. In June 2017, I furthered my education by obtaining my Level 4 Certificate. This advanced qualification enhanced my ability to manage injuries and provide superior massage techniques to my clients.

As a fully mobile sports massage therapist, I offer the convenience of in-home treatments. I bring all the necessary equipment, including oils and a massage table. While clients are welcome to use their own towels, I also provide clean, fresh ones for each session.

My clientele comes from diverse backgrounds, ranging from dedicated athletes to those less active, and from office workers to manual laborers. It’s important to note that you don’t need to be an athlete to benefit from sports massage. We all experience muscle knots and injuries, making sports massage beneficial for everyone, regardless of activity level or profession.

A bit more About Me

To tell you a little about myself, as mentioned above, I am a Level 4 qualified sports massage therapist. Initially, my plan was to become a physiotherapist, and the sports massage course was intended as a stepping stone. However, after starting the course, I discovered a genuine passion for the hands-on nature of sports massage. It seems I have a natural aptitude for it as well (please feel free to check out the reviews). This realisation led me to establish my own business, a decision I haven’t regretted since.

Outside of work, I’ve experimented with various sports, but rugby was where I found the most success, playing both league and union codes. I’m also an avid runner, having completed several 10k races, half marathons, and even a full marathon. I believe my diverse sporting background has given me valuable insights into the types of injuries that can occur in different activities. This firsthand experience enhances my ability to treat and understand my clients’ needs more effectively.
